　　“This air…it’s so still. I was drawn to this dome for reasons I don’t understand. It’s solonely here. I long for a friend, but I think I’ve driveneveryone I’ve loved away. Tell me… have you heard of Hardlight?”[-No]

Dark Magic-1（大学者，黑魔法师，核心解密人物npc-1）

　　“Huh…? So youkilled him… you killed the King…?”

　　“嗯...这么说，你杀了他？你杀掉了‘干涸之王’？”

　　“Quite arelief. But… is this a dream? This ziggurat we’re in… well… it reminds me ofthat great tomb built by the Sun King of Kulka’as. Kulka’as is where I studied.Until… the mission. We were to sail to west. For a marriage alliance. I think…No… that’s wrong. We were to sail east, to Liven. We were to make peace withthe Citadel of Fire and Sky. Kulka’as’ sitting king had just announced analliance with Askaria, and with it, allegiance to their new gods. The climatefor sorcerer collectives would surely sour. So we sailed… but there was a stormat sea! I was washed ashore. I don’t think any of my follow sorcererssurvived.”

　　“啊，（本来因为‘干涸之王’一直紧张的不行）这下放松了，不过这是在梦里吗？这个金字塔，怎么说呢，能让我想起Kulka’as的太阳王陵墓——我曾经在Kulka’as求学。直到...接到这个任务，我们向西联姻...不...错了，我们是向东航行去Liven，向空火堡求和。Kulka’as的在位王与Askaria结成了联盟，向共同的新神（新神游戏里指的都是三权）宣誓。这个声明，对我们这些魔术师并不友好，所以我们只能远航...但是谁能想到中途又遇到了风暴呢？理所当然的，船只遇难。我想，除我之外，其他随从法师都死了。”

　　（这里根据上述对话推测一下：主角本就是Askaria人，当然出身是我自己默认的，主角联姻是东，而这个遇难法师向西，所以两个联姻国家就是Askaria和Kulka’as，真假联姻暂且不提，Askaria和Kulka’as两个国家在联姻时期被三权教暴力扩张侵占，改变了主体信仰是事实，这就使得原本一部分信奉空火法师教派的Kulka’as法师无法忍受，本来被派的任务是向西联姻，而后发现国家信仰改变，准备向东投奔Liven的空火教。虽然很可惜的是，这都是假的……）

　　“When I foundthis ziggurat, I thought I’d gone mad. But I’m not stranger to dark magic.Imagine a demon that feeds off the ruins of nations. … a demon that…“collects.” Such a powerful being could dwell on this island. Or perhaps thisisland is the demon. And it feeds… claiming men, women, kings,countries.”

　　当我发现这座金字塔的时候，简直要疯掉了。我可不是黑魔法的初学者（言外之意就是这个被移到小岛的金字塔是黑魔法作用的结果）。想象一下，这个岛屿的某处有（黑魔法造就了）一个以国家残骸为食的怪物，或者称这种进食为‘收集’。也许，岛屿本身就是那个怪物，它的食物就是各个统治者，国王和国家。

　　“I want you toexplore my theory, and I have just the thing to help you do it. I havesomething for you. It might burn… a bit. But aren’t all good things found inflame?”

　　我想你帮我探索一下我的理论，而且我这里正好有这样一个东西帮你探索，可能会有点烧伤...只是一点点点点的烧伤...但是所有宝物不都是经过火光淬炼才诞生的吗？

Dark Magic-2（大学者，黑魔法师，核心解密人物npc-2）

　　We found it:the Ruined Temple.

　　毁**庙，我们找到了。

　　It was builtin the north as a testament to the power of man. But it became corrupted. Bygreed... and something more. The mountainsmith may have cast out gods, buteven a godless land isn’t safe from demons. I was led to this alcoveby a number of tiny markings, each one bearing an instruction in a deadTristini tongue.

　　这个在北方建造的神庙，起初是作为人权的象征而建立的。（北部钢铁之源的子民信奉的是人的意志，游戏初期有说）但是最终它还是没落了，因为人性的贪婪...和其它更多的原因：北方铁民背弃神明，他们的土地最终还是被恶灵入侵了。我通过一些记号找到了这里，这些记号都是用已经失传的Tristini语言标记的。

　　Here I found aset of garments identical to mine. Could it be that I have a shadow, leaving memessages, wearing my clothes?

　　我还在这儿找到了一些衣服碎片，这些布片跟我的衣服一模一样看，难道还有一个跟我本人穿着一样的幽灵，到处给我留下标记吗？

　　*游戏进行到这里，发现钢铁之源教派已覆灭，铁民的信仰神庙因为人性贪婪与恶灵入侵被毁，所以boss也是被两个恶灵操控的贪婪之斧，再脑补一下，是不是斧子代表神庙的权利，两个掌权人争来争去导致的毁灭呢？

The old-2（老头-2）

　　“Well, lookhow far we’ve come. I’ve been on this island for a long, long time. The air,the salt of the sea, it all hangs to me like an ancient crust. And theshipwrecked, like you. So many shipwrecked sailors. So much fleshy flotsam.Fleshy flotsam… with a shared secret.”

　　哦年轻人，看看我们已经走了这么远了，我来告诉你一些关于我的事情吧。我已经在这座岛上呆了很久很久，久到这座岛上的空气，海里的盐，岛上的一切都已经风化了，那些跟你一样的遇难者，就那么飘在海上，太多太多了...只是这么多的遇难者，都有一个相同且可悲的秘密。

　　“You are all thebetrayed, you are. I’ve seen slaves and whores masquerading as nobles. I’veseen soldier and sailors wrecked from the same ship with different ideas as towhat their mission was. You sad, sad wanderers.

　　那就是：你们所有人都被欺骗了，无一例外。我见到很多的奴隶和妓女被伪装成贵族，见到很多被分派不同任务的兵士和海员在同样的船只上遇难，你们都是可怜，可悲的漂泊者。

　　“Do you knowby whom you were betrayed? And why? You had your princess to find. Or did you?”

　　你们知道你们到底是被谁欺骗的吗？欺骗你们又是为什么呢？你单纯的以为你是来岛上寻找公主的，然而如果不是这样的，你来这个岛上又是为了什么呢？

Dark Magic-3（大学者，黑魔法师，核心解密人物npc-3）

　　I think... Ithink I understand. I tried to retrace my steps to when I wrecked on thisisland... Only... I can’t remember. I came from... some nation. I had amission... to do... some thing. But all I desire is to appease the island.

　　我想，我明白了。我刚才一直在回想我刚刚遇难到这座岛上的事情，结果发现只有...（空白）我什么也记不起来。我究竟来自那里，我之前到底有什么样的任务，（全都回忆不起来）我想要做的就是服从这个小岛。

　　I have died somany, many times. Again and again. Again and again. I keep finding myself inthe same place. I find messages left to me... by me... with no recollection ofleaving them. Whatever my soul was made of... it’s fading fast. This islandwants me to kneel. To abandon my soul to it... I can’t... I won’t. I should’vedied at sea. I... I can still die at sea.

　　我已经死了太多太多次，从未间断，我总能在同一个地方找到我自己，也同样是我自己为自己留下那些记号，尽管当我下一次发现记号的时候没有任何关于它们的记忆。这样，无论我有着怎样的灵魂，它都会快速的褪色（迷失，灵魂迷失之后失去意志，逐渐的就会屈服）。这座岛希望我屈服，希望我将我的灵魂献给它...我不能这样...而且我也不会这样。我应该在海上死去，我依然能在海上死去。

　　“Hello, saltborn. I’m not like you born of salt, I’m born of life flame like fire”

　　你好，寻盐者，我与你们不同，我并不为盐而生，我的生命如同火光一样闪耀。

　　“To beSaltborn is to be a dying fragment of eternity. To be born of light is to betruly living, yet so ephemeral.”

　　寻盐者永远会活在永恒的死亡中，而生于光明才可以称得上真正的活着，尽管生命是短暂的。

The old-3（老头-3）

　　“It’s timeyou knew my name. There was a time when I held many titles. Men knew me byother names as well. But titles, fame, infamy… it is worthless here. On thisisland, Jaret is my name.”

　　是时候让你知道我的名字了，只是在之前很长一段时间我有过许多名字，人们可能知道我其中的一些，（但并不知道这些名字都是我）不过在这座岛上，所谓的名字，荣耀，恶名都没有用，现在，你可以叫我Jaret（杰莱特）。

　　（杰莱特就是汉化的名字啊，真是好翻译，杰莱特管我屁事啊……你是杰莱特又怎么样……，看英文吧，Jaret，全名是Osiris Jaret，也就是奥西里斯·杰莱特，这下看看百度知道都会明白不少剧情，百度知道如下：奥西里斯是埃及最重要的九大神明“九神”之一。他生前是一个开明的国王，死后是地界主宰和死亡判官。他还是复活、降雨和植物之神，被称为"丰饶之神"。他是文明的赐予者，冥界之王，执行人死后是否可得到永生的审判。当然这里并不是说老头是一位神，在这个游戏里，他只是一个被无名之神赋予了力量的人。）

　　嫉妒就是这样一种东西：一个男人嫉妒他的邻居，因为邻居家的娇妻非常美；一个领主嫉妒国王，因为国王可以号令贵族；一个国王嫉妒神明，因为所有人都为之卑躬；一个神明也会嫉妒，他会嫉妒一个神明没有的东西。

　　“This god…this demon… I want him to remain nameless. His lust for power isfueled by terror and infamy. Men at sea can fear Kraeken, butgive this vile god no name.”

　　这个所谓的神明，或者说这个恶魔，我不希望他有任何名号。人们对他的恐惧会使他的力量更为强大，水手们可以畏惧Kraeken，[将海怪命名为克拉肯（北海巨妖，海怪，大乌贼之类的东西）]，却不能给这个神留下任何名号。（却不能畏惧这个恶魔）
