五人组的日记（拉斯提部分1）

　　Well we ain't inKentucky no more, I can tell you that. Never heard of a cave this big, and sureas hell ain't heard of no glowing rocks. Even Uncle Chester'd be pinchinghimself if he could see this, and he thinks a tribe of mutant squirrels runsthe government.

　　Good news: I ain't in this boat alone. Bad news: I'm sharing it with a bunch ofknow-it-all city boys and one quiet city girl. Maybe they know what's what in aclassroom, but they're all wet behind the ears when it comes to real survival.Man versus nature and all that.

　　Looks like it'll be up to me to save the day then. Like my pappy always said:if you want a cat skinned right, do it your damn self.

　　好吧我们现在已经不再肯塔基了，我可以告诉你。我从没听说过有这么大的洞穴存在过，而且我非常确定我从没有听说过石头也可以发光。就算是切斯特叔叔看到这一切也一定会掐自己的，而他甚至相信我们的政府是由一群变异了的松鼠执掌的。

　　好消息是，我并不是孤身一人。坏消息是，我和一群来自大城市的自以为无所不知的男孩子们还有一个安静的女孩一组。也许他们在课堂上学了不少东西，但是当他们面临真正的生存挑战的时候，他们都在冒汗。人类挑战大自然什么的。

　　看来需要我来拯救他们了。就像我老爸经常说的：如果你想要一件事做得对，就得要自己做。

　　（拉斯提，全名拉斯提·斯塔夫，来自美国肯塔基州，所处的时代和我们的年代非常接近。）

　　One of thesedays, I'm gonna knock Trent's flapping jaw right back to Jersey! Boy thinks thesun comes up just to hear him crow. Not that the sun rises regular like aroundhere, but y'all get the point.

　　And Imamu? Don't know why everyone listens to him. I'm the one putting food onthe table. Back home if we didn't hunt, we didn't eat, so I just made myself abow and went to work. Nothing to it.

　　At least Emilia's helped me make some tools. She's timid as a mouse, but sharpas those picks we fashioned. They oughta help us get past these rock walls.Ain't too sure about giving one to that Rusky fella, Boris, but like my cousinOtis always said: keep your enemies close, and a gun closer.

　　总有一天，我会给特伦顿狠狠地来一拳，把他打回泽西！这个小子还以为太阳就是为了他才升起来的呢。这里的日出毫无规律，但是你懂我的意思。

　　至于依玛努，我都不知道为什么所有人都听他的。我才是那个给大家找食物的人。在我老家，如果我们不打猎，我们就没饭吃，所以我给自己做了一把弓就开始狩猎了。没什么大不了的。

　　至少艾米莉亚能够帮我制作一些工具。她就像一只害羞的小老鼠，但是她也很聪明。我们制作了一些锋利的镐子，它们应该能够帮我们跨越这些岩壁。我不确定我应该给拉斯基的朋友，鲍里斯，一把镐子，但是就像我的侄子奥提斯经常说的：让你的敌人近一些，枪更近一些。

五人组的日记（拉斯提部分3）

　　Hell yeah! Ibagged him!

　　So there I was, stalking through the brush like a lion...or a bear...or abear-lion. Anyway we'd come up over that rock wall a while back, so I figuredI'd rustle up some supper.

　　That's when I saw him: the biggest damn rat to ever live. I mean this fella wasso huge, his footsteps sounded like he'd turned the ground into a drum, but Icaught him dead in the eye! Rat meat ain't exactly a t-bone steak, but it'llfeed us for days.

　　Bet this gets everyone kissing my boots like they're covered in honey, evenImamu! Like my ma's great-aunt Bessie always said: respect ain't given, it'seaten.

　　好耶！我弄*死他了！

　　我当时正在灌木丛中大阔步地走着，就像一头狮子……或者熊……或者熊狮……管他呢，反正那个时候我们已经越过了那道岩壁，所以我认为我应该去找一些吃的。

　　就在那个时候我看到了他，那是我这辈子见过的最大的老鼠（翻滚鼹躺枪）。我的意思是这个家伙如此巨大，他的脚步声听起来就好像他把整个地面当成了鼓在敲，但是我可瞄上他了。老鼠肉并不是非常好吃，但是他能够为我们提供好几天的伙食了。

　　我敢打赌这个家伙能够让其他人都像舔蜂蜜那样来舔我的靴子（我不知道这里提到了蜂蜜是不是为了提示玩家……毕竟翻滚鼹是用蜂蜜驯服的），包括依玛努！就像我妈妈的姑妈贝茜经常说的那样：尊重不是被人给予的，而是用食物换来的。

五人组的日记（拉斯提部分4）

　　It ain't right!I killed the varmint that pretty-boy Trent was stuffing his face with, and he'sstill got the stones to laugh at me just because I stumbled over my wordsagain. So what if I can't talk like Imamu? What's Trent done, earn some trophiesplaying pigskin back home? I've been keeping us alive!

　　Still shouldn't have made a fuss over it. Boris had to hold me back or else I'dhave...and now? Trent's avoiding me, Imamu's scolding me and Emilia's tooscared to even look at me.

　　It's like my second cousin, twice removed, Ernest, always said: if you loseyour temper, you'd best make sure you find it, because tempers are mightyexpensive.

　　这不对！我杀了所有试图伤害那个漂亮小子特伦顿的怪物，但是他居然还有种嘲笑我，就因为我说话口齿不清。所以就算我不能像依玛努那样好好说话，那又怎样？特伦顿干过什么？在老家打橄榄球赢了奖杯？我才是那个努力让我们活下去的人！

　　我还是不应该对此如此火大。鲍里斯不得不把我拉住，不然的话我就……现在呢？特伦顿一直在避开我，依玛努一直在责怪我，而艾米莉亚吓得甚至不敢看我一眼。

　　这就像和我隔了两代关系的二侄子（敢情你的家族也太大了吧），厄尼斯特经常说的那样：如果你发了脾气，你最好控制住，因为发脾气的代价太大了。

五人组的日记（拉斯提部分5）

　　I can't stand itno more. They think I don't hear all that whispering about how I how I ain'tstable? How I can't be trusted?

　　Well fine. These new caves are even stranger than before, with all the glowingand whatnot, and I bet they've got even nastier critters lurking about. If Ican bag myself one of those, they'll realize I'm as trustworthy as the day islong. Maybe Emilia will even speak to me again.

　　Like my ancestor, the great pioneer Floyd-William Stafford the Third alwayssaid: the only way a man can be a man is if he's man enough to know when it'stime to be a man. And right now? It's time for Rusty Stafford to be a man!

　　我再也不能忍受了。他们以为我听不到他们在我背后悄悄说我精神有问题吗？为什么不能信任我？

　　很好！这些新的洞穴比之前的更加奇怪，到处都发着光，而且我能够打赌这里到处都游荡着更加讨厌的小怪物。如果我能够抓到一只，他们就会意识到我值得他们信赖。也许就连艾米莉亚都会再次和我交谈。

　　就像我的老祖宗，伟大的开拓者佛洛依德-威廉·斯塔夫三世（我输了行吗大哥）经常说的那样：一个男人要成为真正的男子汉，唯一的方法就是要有本事知道什么时候应该挺身而出。而现在？是时候让拉斯提·斯塔夫挺身而出了！

　　五人组的一人领了便当，接下来换人写日记了。
